TL;DR — The Short Version

Valid legal process only. We notify users unless legally prohibited. No voluntary data sharing. Send requests to legal@skylina.polsia.app. Emergency requests: see Section 4.

1. How Skylina Handles Data Requests

Skylina is committed to lawful, transparent cooperation with law enforcement while protecting user privacy. We do not voluntarily provide user data to government agencies. All data requests must be accompanied by valid legal process.

We maintain a strict minimization policy: we provide only the minimum data required by the specific legal process. We do not create custom data reports for law enforcement absent valid process.

2. Valid Legal Process

We respond to the following types of legal process:

Process TypeData Potentially DisclosedUser Notification
Subpoena (civil)Basic account info if relevantYes, before disclosure
Grand jury subpoenaAccount data, generation historyYes, unless sealed by court
Search warrantFull account data, all user contentDelayed if warrant specifies
Preservation requestData preserved, no content sharedPer request
Emergency disclosure (life/safety)Limited to what is necessaryAfter emergency addressed

We do not respond to informal requests, tips, or inquiries from law enforcement without legal process. Contact your legal counsel to determine which process is appropriate.

3. Submitting a Request

Send legal requests to: legal@skylina.polsia.app

Include: (a) the nature of the investigation; (b) the specific data requested; (c) the legal process number; (d) a return email for our legal team to respond. We process requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

For preservation requests (requiring us to preserve data while formal process is prepared): include the requester's name, agency, and contact information. Preservation typically lasts 90 days and can be extended with appropriate process.

4. Emergency Requests

If there is an imminent threat to life or safety requiring immediate disclosure of Skylina user data, contact us at emergency@skylina.polsia.app with "EMERGENCY" in the subject line and details of the emergency. We monitor this inbox during business hours and will respond as quickly as possible.

For emergencies outside business hours: If you cannot reach us via email, contact Polsia's platform team directly. Do not delay emergency response — contact the appropriate emergency services first.

5. User Notification Policy

We notify users before disclosing their data to law enforcement, unless: (a) the legal process itself is sealed by a court order; (b) notification would compromise an active investigation; (c) we are legally prohibited from notifying. When notification is delayed, we notify users as soon as the legal basis for delay is resolved.

6. Data We Hold

Skylina holds: account data (email, name, creation date), generation history (prompts and outputs), and session logs. We do not hold the content of generated files beyond what is necessary for service delivery. Data retention follows our Privacy Policy.
