API Terms of Service

Version 1.0 Effective: June 3, 2026

TL;DR — The Short Version

These terms cover programmatic access to Skylina. The core ToS applies, plus: no rate limit abuse, no reverse engineering, outputs from API calls are still yours (same ownership as the main app), and we offer 99.5% API uptime. Enterprise customers get custom SLAs.

1. Scope & Application

These API Terms apply to any use of Skylina's programmatic interface, including the /api/generate, /api/create, /api/auth, and future endpoints. These terms supplement — not replace — the main Terms of Service. In case of conflict, these API Terms control for API-specific matters.

2. API Registration

API access requires a registered Skylina account in good standing. API credentials (tokens, keys) are personal and non-transferable. You must keep credentials secure and immediately rotate them if compromised. API access may be revoked if credentials are shared publicly or used in violation of these terms.

3. Rate Limits

Rate limits vary by plan:

PlanRequests/minConcurrentMonthly Cap
Free102500
Pro601010,000
EnterpriseCustomCustomUnlimited

Rate limit headers (X-RateLimit-Remaining, X-RateLimit-Reset) are included in all responses. Exceeding rate limits returns 429 Too Many Requests. Repeated violations may result in API suspension.

4. Data Handling & Privacy

Data sent through the API is subject to the same privacy protections as data submitted through the web interface. We do not use API input data to train our models unless you explicitly opt in (see Privacy Policy). You are responsible for ensuring prompts sent via API do not contain personal data you are not authorized to process.

5. Output Ownership

Content generated via the API is owned by you under the same terms as the main application. You may use, modify, and commercialize outputs freely, subject to your compliance with the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy. Skylina does not claim any rights to API-generated outputs.

6. Redistribution & Reselling

You may not resell Skylina API access as a standalone service. You may not embed Skylina's API in a competing AI generation product. Embedding Skylina API in your own application (SaaS, internal tool, plugin) is permitted provided you comply with all ToS and do not offer the raw generation capability as a separate paid product.

7. Monitoring & Abuse

We monitor API usage patterns for anomalies and abuse detection. Automated tools must include appropriate backoff and retry logic. Bots or scrapers that bypass rate limits are prohibited and will be blocked. API usage may be reviewed if usage patterns suggest ToS violations.

8. API Service Level

The API commits to 99.5% monthly availability. Service credits for missed SLA are calculated identically to the main SLA. Emergency downtime caused by third-party AI provider failures is excluded from SLA calculations.

9. Changes to API Terms

We may update these API Terms with 30 days notice. Material changes (new rate limits, pricing changes) include at least 90 days notice for paid plan customers. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
